Greater New Life Ministries

 Dr. Billy R. Johns received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age of 19.  He was a faithful member of God’s House Apostolic Church under the pastoral ship of Elder Eugene Stewart of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Pastor Johns joined in matrimony to First Lady Leticia Johns (Medina) on October 1, 1976 and has celebrated over 31 years of marriage.  They have 6 beautiful daughters who make up the sing group Images of Christ.

Pastor Johns served at God’s House Church from 1975 to 1980 and then moved to Laredo, Texas where he fellowshipped at Central Assembly of God under the pastoral ship of Rev. Pat Robinson.  He served there until the middle of 1984 and then moved to Austin, Texas.  In 1984, Pastor Johns joined Grace Temple Apostolic Church under the pastoral ship of Elder Alan Young until 1987.  He then started a ministry in his home and recruited Dr. Craig High of Fort Worth, Texas to be Pastor of the ministry that they called Greater Peace Christian Church.

Pastor Johns was called to Lifeline Evangelistical Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Rebecca Washington-Berry.  He served until the Lord called him to pioneer another ministry in 1994, Greater New Life Christian Church.  Pastor Johns also has founded two non-profit organizations which are called S.T.A.N.D. (1996) and Koinonia (2005), a Christian fellowship of churches where churches come together for authentic and true fellowship (Koinonia in Greek means “authentic fellowship”).

Pastor Johns received an Honorary Doctrine from Elbon Solutions College of Ministry on October 31, 2004.  Dr. Johns also became ordained as Bishop of Greater New Life on March 11, 2007.
